About Camilla Brinkworth..
I didn’t set out planning to become a professional mystic. It certainly wasn’t a career recommendation given to me at school.. but it was unquestionably always in my nature, just waiting to be fully expressed.
Though I grew up in Cambridge, England, within a very traditional and highly-educated family, some of my earliest memories are of mixing plants together in earnest attempts to make magical potions for my younger sister, or trying to bring deceased grass snakes back to life. By my early teens, I was already holding Full Moon ceremonies with a friend from boarding school, long before I had language for what these rituals were or represented.
As long as I can recall, I felt like the black sheep in a family I did not quite know how to belong to, and desperately dissatisfied with wider social constructs that I experienced as callous and superficial. As I moved into a vividly intense young adulthood, my inner pain translated into my body. At nineteen I developed arthritis. This was followed by many years of battling with severe depression, anxiety, debilitating panic disorder, and PMDD.
What followed was a two decade journey that wove together spiritual practice, formal academic education in natural health, radical changes to diet and lifestyle, and exploration of many healing modalities. Over time, I recovered fully from every one of these conditions. I now live in a body and mind that experience a level of health my younger self could not have imagined, including changes that conventional Western medicine often considers entirely impossible.
My own suffering, and the slow unlearning of the ways of living that had made me ill, are what ultimately shaped the work I do today. Much of my pain, both emotional and physical, was rooted in unprocessed trauma, a fractured sense of belonging within my family system and conventional Western society, and dysfunctional patterns I had learned through passive diffusion. While my journey of healing and self-development was lengthy and continues to unfold, the work that changed everything the most noticeably, quickly and painlessly, was Family Constellations and Rapid Core Healing.
These therapeutic methods created a sense of inner safety I had never known before. They reorganised my internal world in a way that no amount of insight or effort ever had. They gave me a different blueprint for how my life would be experienced moving forward - including the relationships, opportunities and safety that I would experience. This is why they sit at the centre of my work now. I trust them not only because of my own transformation, but because I have now worked with many hundreds of people from around the world and witnessed how deeply and consistently this work meets others.
I approach pain and healing through a spiritual lens. I do not see pain as inherently wrong or something to be eliminated at all costs. I see it as meaningful information, a signal that something in our life is misaligned with who we are meant to be. Pain can be a profound teacher, if we are willing to listen rather than suppress.
When we bring order to the family system and clear the subconscious mind and soma of what no longer belongs to us, we open up entirely different possibilities for our lives. We begin to return to who we were before adaptation and trauma shaped us. As Gabor Maté so beautifully said, “It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.”
Because I see life as deeply ordered rather than random, including the families we are born into, I also work with an advanced and psychologically rich form of astrology. When I work with clients over time, I often weave their personal astrology into the process, as a way of making meaning. It can help illuminate why certain themes have appeared in a life and what may be asking to be lived more consciously. It also helps them understand what unique gifts their soul has come here to express.
I am also a devoted student of Kabbalistic teachings and Asterian Astrology, which often inform how I understand healing, patterning, and soul development. However, you do not need to hold any particular spiritual or religious beliefs to work with me. All are welcome, and your own worldview will always be respected.
If my work speaks to you, I look forward to connecting with you soon and supporting you on your own journey to greater peace, purpose, stability and safety, whether that be through 1:1 work, online courses, retreats or group workshops.
With Love,
Camilla XO
